Inclusive Craft Workshops for families - Funded by The National Lottery

Parents have shared their feelings of being stuck at home during holidays, unable to afford days out or find suitable activities. At Bright Beginnings, our sessions are shaped by these real experiences and led by someone with lived experience of parenting a neurodiverse child. We understand that school holidays can be particularly challenging, especially for families who aren’t eligible for free childcare or who struggle to access traditional outings due to cost, stress, or sensory needs. That’s why we offer inclusive craft workshops and a supportive environment with low-cost craft sessions, guest-led activities, and wellbeing support for parents.

Our funded sessions include workshops featuring painting, building, and hands-on crafts for children, along with special guest experiences such as animal encounters and theatre performances. We also provide a relaxation space for parents with refreshments available and evening Candle-Making Classes for adults, perfect for those looking to connect, chat, and unwind together.

Bright Beginnings is open to families from across South Staffordshire. We especially welcome working parents juggling care responsibilities, families with children with additional or sensory needs, and anyone seeking a gentle, supportive community space.

All workshops are subsidised by The National Lottery Community Fund, and we take pride in supporting our communities.

Half term craft workshops with autumn and Halloween themes at The Platform, Wombourne on October 27.

Halloween Craft Workshops

£4 each

Join us at Bright Beginnings this October Half Term for a fun and creative Halloween and Autumn-themed craft session. Our inclusive craft workshops allow children to enjoy a variety of seasonal crafts, from spooky creations to autumn treasures, and they will also receive some special Halloween treats! Pick and paint your own pumpkin at The Platform, Wombourne on October 30th, 3pm & 4pm.

PICK & PAINT

£6 each

At our Pick & Paint session, children can choose their very own pumpkin to take home and then join us in the Platform for 45 minutes of Halloween-themed crafts as part of our Bright Beginnings funded sessions, complete with sweet treats and squash. These inclusive craft workshops are designed to ensure every child can participate and have fun. The café will be open exclusively for our guests, offering hot drinks and refreshments. SNAP & CRAFT

£25 per family

Enjoy a professional festive photo shoot with a stunning Christmas backdrop, followed by a 45-minute mess-free craft session, part of our inclusive craft workshops, and seasonal treats for the kids. Each booking includes 3 professional digital images (with upgrade options available). Children can come in Christmas festive outfits, and images will be ready by mid-December – perfect for gifts! CANDLE MAKING WORKSHOP
