Our Purpose

Our aim is to change outcomes for children at risk of exclusion by equipping schools and families with practical support tools, the right mindset and relational strategies to intervene early and maintain connection. We deliver inclusive workshops for both parents and children, alongside advocacy services that help families navigate behavioural challenges and school difficulties. Support is available one-to-one or through our parent groups and community programmes. Together, we create a brighter path for young people, built on understanding, early intervention, reintegration support and meaningful connection to prevent school exclusion and ensure every child thrives and get the support they deserve.

The Parent Voice

We’re collecting parent stories to highlight the real challenges families face when children struggle at school, especially regarding school exclusions. By sharing your experience, you’ll help us raise awareness about the need for better behaviour support and parent support, drive change, and enhance the support available for families like yours.

The Bright Beginnings Project

The Bright Beginnings Project was created from the lived experience of the founder Emma, who experienced isolation and no suitable outing options for herself and her neurodivergent son when he was young. We have created a set of workshops and creative support sessions designed for neurodivergent children and their parents to access a space where they can build confidence, emotional awareness and positive connections. The workshops create a safe, supportive space where children feel heard, valued and encouraged to thrive, while parents can relax in a non-judgmental environment. We also have SEN and neurodivergent friendly special events with guest appearances and animal therapy sessions.

We are extremely proud and grateful to be funded by The National Lottery Community Fund allowing us to create these spaces for free or at low cost to reduce any financial barriers and allow families with multiple children an affordable outing.

By combining creativity with relational practice, the programme supports children not only academically, but socially and emotionally, helping them feel more confident as they move forward in their education journey. We hope to continue and grow this support for years to come.

The Creative Moms Support Network

Our Creative Moms Workshops are relaxed creative sessions for moms and carers who may be feeling overwhelmed with lack of support in the school system or in need of connection and support from other moms who get it.

Mainly targeted at moms with neurodivergent children or suspected, diagnosed or undiagnosed.

We offer creative activities with SEN and education experienced guest speakers to give guidance on the system most of us are struggling to navigate.

We are building a community of Moms who share lived experience alongside expert advice and practical guidance.

Parent-School Mediation

Communication breakdowns between schools and families can jeopardise children's support. We provide child-focused mediation to rebuild relationships, resolve tensions, and prioritise the child's well being, especially during school exclusions.

Tailored Support

Our priority is always the needs of the young people referred into our mediation services. That’s why we offer bespoke behaviour support packages for those who may require something different, whether that’s more intensive intervention or a unique delivery model.

We collaborate closely with schools, families, and professionals to create support that fits the young person, not the other way around. This includes reintegration support for those facing school exclusions, ensuring a tailored approach to each individual's situation.

Costs are determined by the delivery model, client group, available funding, and the desired outcomes, ensuring flexibility and affordability. If you have a student or setting in mind, or you're a parent seeking support and unsure where to turn - let's talk!

Email: brightpathmediation@outlook.com or use the contact us page to discuss a bespoke package of parent support.
